Elm Creek Park Reserve
At 4,900 acres, it’s the largest of the Three Rivers Park District’s parks. Featured amenities: a swimming pond, miles of hiking and biking trails, and camper cabins for rent.
Numerous Golf Courses
Hayden Hills is a beautifully landscaped, family-friendly 18-hole golf course. Sundance Golf & Bowl offers bowling as well as golf. Daytona Golf Club is open year-round – in the winter, head indoors for tennis, wallyball or racquetball.
Champlin Ice Forum
Get your skate on! This facility has both indoor and outdoor ice rinks, and offers public skating; figure- and ice-skating lessons; hockey programs and leagues; and hockey clinics.
Snowmobiling
Snowmobile trails are provided and managed by the Hennepin and Wright County snowmobile clubs. There are over 150 miles of groomed trails throughout northwestern Hennepin County.
Mississippi West Regional Park
A 237-acre area that is largely undeveloped, but a paved boat launch is now open. A great place to canoe and enjoy the majestic wildlife and views of the Mississippi River.
Heritage Day
Held annually on the third Saturday of September, activities include food, live music and a parade.
Eastman Nature Center
The center is a 14,000-sq-ft building, with an exhibit area, reading and observation rooms, and an open-air deck. Explore the gardens, walk the floating boardwalk, visit the pond observation blind, take an orienteering class, and so much more!

Father Hennepin Festival
A historic celebration of Champlin, honoring the city as the site where Father Louis Hennepin first crossed the Mississippi River in 1680. The three-day event features a parade, carnival rides, softball tournaments and live music.
