National Sports Center
This is the world’s largest amateur sports facility! An incredible 50 soccer fields, eight-sheet ice arena, 18-hole golf course, and cycling velodrome are all part of this venue.
Elm Creek Park Reserve
A great place for biking, hiking, skiing, sledding, swimming and more! Kids will enjoy the expansive play structure.

Recognized by Golf Digest as one of the top 25 public courses in the country, this course offers a challenge for all levels of players.
Wargo Nature Center
This center is dedicated to creating awareness, knowledge and appreciation of and for the environment. A variety of environmental and recreational programs are offered, including summer camps. The center also offers equipment rentals such as canoes, kayaks, snowshoes and GPS units; Wildlife Outreach programs; monthly home school classes and preschool classes.
There are many skating options within the park system, with five outdoor hockey rinks and four skating rinks. A state-of-the-art Ice Center provides a facility for hockey tournaments, public skating events, skating lessons and public skating events.
Coon Rapids 4th of July Festival
This three-day celebration includes a parade, fun run, carnival, live music, bingo, food and drinks, and, of course, fireworks!
Bunker Beach Water Park
Minnesota’s largest outdoor water park! Attractions include a wave pool; body water slides and tube rider slides; lazy river; adventure pool; plunge pool; sand box; and volleyball court.
