Carver Park Reserve
Visitors can find fun and invigorating activities here year-round, including archery, camping, dog trails, horseback riding, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. The Reserve is also home to the Lowry Nature Center, Grimm Farm Historic Site, and King Waterbird Sanctuary.
An annual community event to get safety information to kids in the community. From Seat belt use to first aid to fire prevention and water safety. Free refreshments. Local businesses and organizations participate, including the DNR and Hennepin County.
Big Stone Mini Golf & Sculpture Garden
An offbeat 12-hole mini golf course, with metal sculptures such as sunflowers, an overturned boat, a giant insect, and fossilized trees to delight the eye while you play. Voted “Best Mini Golf” by the Star-Tribune, 2013.
Gale Woods Farm
Located on Whaletail Lake, this real working farm is a unique educational opportunity to gain an understanding of agriculture and food production. Explore the park, attend a summer camp, or take on of many classes offered, such as fiber arts, cooking or gardening.
